Thursday's Call.

the call is to be short if the eem closes above 38.92.

I will trade emerging markets at 1.75x.

I ended up on the short side as it went to 38.91 seconds before close. I don't like these days where the market picks my trigger point to gyrate around. I may look into picking a price before the close...say 3:50.

  1. how do you think that would affect the system rules?

  2. also: you may run into the same situation at 3:50, if your call depended on where the price of EEM is at that time?

  3. I am doing some back testing now. Yes the same situation will occur but the nice aspect will be that we can place trades after 3:50 price but before cutoff times and market close, knowing that the "3:50 price" is already defined.
I don't think over the long haul it will effect returns to any great extent...it will change some days, but the number should be small.
