the call is to be short if the eem closes above 38.92.
I will trade emerging markets at 1.75x.
I ended up on the short side as it went to 38.91 seconds before close. I don't like these days where the market picks my trigger point to gyrate around. I may look into picking a price before the close...say 3:50.

how do you think that would affect the system rules?
ReplyDeletealso: you may run into the same situation at 3:50, if your call depended on where the price of EEM is at that time?
ReplyDeleteI am doing some back testing now. Yes the same situation will occur but the nice aspect will be that we can place trades after 3:50 price but before cutoff times and market close, knowing that the "3:50 price" is already defined.
ReplyDeleteI don't think over the long haul it will effect returns to any great extent...it will change some days, but the number should be small.
